The red camera light was still blinking, albeit dimmer than 6 years ago. There was a small amount of trash in the front of the cave that I had made arrangements with Central Connecticut Grotto to clean up when they visited the cave that afternoon. They removed two spent cyalume sticks from the back of the cave and got all the other trash amounting to a small plastic grocery bag’s worth. I recommend trimming the one tree/scrub in the entrance over on the left side facing the cave. It has been cut back numerous times over the years and is time to do it again. The blue graffiti still shows through, although not like the initial vandalism. I recommend asking the VAR to schedule the site for a cleanup when the weather is nice.
